Easter Prep.
So, if you're preparing for easter, you need to make easter eggs.
Sometimes, you can get the PAAS kits and dye eggs in 15 minutes, and that's ok.
Alternatively, you can spend an ENTIRE DAY doing it. Which is undoubtedly ridiculous. Nonetheless, it's what we did.
You start by sending a friend who is an artist the kit. That way, you'll know that the result will be good no matter how much Andrea really is a screw-up.
Enter Anne.
Then, you get the eggs. Not too hard.
Next you follow the direcitons. This is a real problem. If you do not have the friend who is an artist at hand, you skip this step. Unfortunately, when you skip this step, you might as well throw the whole project away. So, that is one of the reasons to start with step 1 - choosing the right friend. I have a lot of faults, but I do have good friends.
OK, you draw the designs ACCORDING TO DIRECTIONS, doing one step at a time. And WAITING in between so the eggs dry, and then FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS again, and again, until finally you can take the wax off.
And, Ta Da!!! You have ukranian easter eggs! See --
Just as a note: when you get the old fashioned tools , they're not really as good as the modern day ones. But both work. They just work differently. And you don't need the beeswax block - scooping the candle edges is fine.
My eggs are the one on the right, and the one below. Anne's is the one on top left. You can't see all the colors, because of the light, but they're not too bad, huh? Pays to have good friends.
